The distributions from these funds support new or the expansion of existing outreach ministries, as well as, the training of leadership for new or existing worship communities.

Distributions from the Music & Worship Fund provide resources that allow each of our communities to pursue excellence in worship through music. These funds often support choral scholars for the Downtown & Andover Communities, while the Offerings Community is used to invest in strong, consistent leadership for their worship band.

Distributions from these funds help to pay for a variety of projects that are beyond the scope of our annual budget, such as unexpected building maintenance, efforts to preserve church history, and other non-operational church needs. The parsonage fund helps to provide a housing allowance for each of our clergy.

The Foundation offers a range of ways to support the ongoing ministry and future of the church. You may designate your gift to a specific fund, aligning your generosity with areas that matter most to you, or you may choose to give without restriction, allowing your gift to be directed where it is most needed at the time.

Gifts can be made as one-time contributions or as recurring support over time. In addition, many individuals and families choose to extend their impact through planned giving—by including the Foundation in their estate plans, making bequests, or donating property and other assets, becoming a part of our Heritage Society.

The Heritage Society honors those who include First Church in their estate planning. Members’ names are displayed on plaques at the High Street and Andover campuses as a lasting testament to their generosity.
